 Weekly Objective:
In Week 3, we will continue working in vTiger, an open source CRM software. We will create our own modules using the Module Builder add-on and customize the modules to meet our needs. We will also learn to navigate vTiger and mold the tools to become more useful and personalized for each one of us. Additionally, we will be learning about the different ways we can connect vTiger to generate leads from our WordPress websites.

Requirements:
  • Any computer that can access a browser (If you are using an iPad, keyboard is recommended)
  • A stable internet connection to be able to watch the stream, interact on X spaces, and access online tools
  • cPanel account from season two or any server compatible with self hosted version of WordPress. If you did not receive a free cPanel last season, sign up to claim your free cPanel here: Sign-Up Here | Innovators Think Tank
  • A copy of vTiger code deployed on your cPanel with Module Builder

Resources:
  • vTiger - Open source CRM platform that is endlessly expandable. This system allows developers to build custom solutions for managing customers and integrates with several popular tools such as WordPress and Quickbooks.
  • Module Builder - add-on for the vTiger CRM that allows users to create their own modules and relationships between modules without having to directly edit the code for vTiger. This is a good no-code solution for creating custom integrations in vTiger.
  • vTiger Plugin for WordPress - turns any form on the website into a lead generator and populates the information filled out by users in your WordPress website into the vTiger CRM.
  • Zapier - workflow automation software that has integrations with thousands of applications such as WordPress and vTiger. Allows you to connect platforms and trigger actions using the API.
  • WordPress - a popular open-source content management system (CMS) that allows users to create and manage websites easily. It is highly customizable with a vast library of themes and plugins, making it suitable for a wide range of websites from blogs to e-commerce stores.
  • cPanel - a web hosting control panel that provides a graphical interface and automation tools designed to simplify the process of hosting a website. It allows users to manage their server and site operations, including file management, email accounts, domain management, and database administration.
