Overview
Weekly Objective:
In Week Three, we will go further in editing our pages. The goal is to have the website fully laid out. Additionally, we will review editing global WordPress settings such as site title and tagline. Furthermore, we will also learn how to extend the WordPress functionality using plugins. We will focus on plugins that will help with maintenance, security, and SEO. Moreover, we will learn about embedding elements such as the beehiive subscription form into a WordPress page.
Requirements:
- WordPress website (either from Week 1 or an equivalent installation of WordPress)
- Laptop (or iPad with keyboard)
- A stable internet connection to be able to watch the stream, interact on X spaces, and access online tools
- A few pages already created during Week 2 and Week 2 Review
- A logo to add to the website
- Potential site title and tagline for your website.

cPanel Access - This is a direct link to the cPanel login screen. You can also go to yourdomain/cpanel to access it.

AI Tutor - Since WordPress and Divi are quite popular frameworks, you can use AI Tutor Plus to help you with creating and editing your website.

Pixio - Eventually, you will need images for your website. In Pixio you can generate images, remove backgrounds, and create graphics. Additionally, you retain full ownership of all the images created in Pixio.

All in One Migrations - WordPress plugin that allows us to create backups of our website, seamlessly restore backups, and migrate our WordPress websites with ease. This plugin creates an identical copy of your website. We will use this to backup and migrate our sites at the end of the program.

beehiive - A newsletter platform that is easy to start with. Provides simple integration for any website. Alternatively, any platform that allows subscribing to an email list and provides an embeddable form will work with WordPress.

All in One SEO - One of the most popular WordPress SEO plugins. Allows you to edit meta titles, keywords, and descriptions for each page and provides a score for the SEO optimization of the website.

WP Main SMTP - Since SMTP is not enabled on your cPanel, you will need to use a third-party SMTP provider. SMTP allows the website to send emails to users and visitors. For example, if you have a contact form that sends an email to you with inquiries, you will need SMTP

Brevo - another email marketing and list-building platform. Provides a good SMTP service that can be used with WordPress. Has secure API integration that makes sure your emails do not end up in spam.
